ANGFA Vic holds field trips every second month, generally the second weekend after a meeting. These trips are a chance for the members to get out around Melbourne with their nets and see what lives in our local waterways as well as getting to know each other better The data collected goes into the ANGFA Survey Database. So don't be shy, get out there with Gary the field trip co-ordinator and get your feet wet. Bring the family along and make a day of it. Field Trip Dates (first half 2009): 14th February 10.30am, Cardinia Creek. Starting off in Beaconsfield, at Manna Gum picnic area, Melways 131 H1. 18th April, 10.30am, Warburton area. Meeting at Launching Place road, on the corner of the Warburton Highway. Melways 287 F6.Saltwater survey! 20 June, 2009, 10.30am starting time (as always). Meeting in Williamstown, at: Parsons Marina, The Strand. Melways 56 D7. What are we looking for? Decorator crabs; Pygmy Squid; Pygmy Shore Eels; Gobies; Pipefish and plenty more.Saturday August 15th, 2009 - Melb MuseumWhere: Melb Museum, Nicholson St, Carlton, Melbourne, 3053 Cost: club donation of $2.00 per person or $5.00 per family Time: 10:00am Meeting Point: Outside main entrance. We must enter as a group. Please see Kwai at the door for group entry and payment of club donation. Note - latecomers will need to enter on their own and pay usual Museum entry fees.
