The meeting for Friday night 5th June 2009 will be an exciting evening for all. Our guest speaker for our main talk is Dr. P. Andreas Svensson discussing the Australian desert goby Chlamydogobius eremius. Dr P Andreas Svensson is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Behavioural and Evolutionary Ecology in the School of Biological Sciences at Monash University, VIC. Andreas Svensson has an interest in evolutionary based questions concerning animal behaviour in general and fish behaviour in particular. He uses mainly small fishes (gobies) as model organisms to understand phenomena like reproductive trade-offs, sexual signals and honest indicators of quality. We will hear tales from expeditions and information about his experiments. Everyone welcome! Look foward to seeing you all there.
